    The technology hasn't been tested enough yet. It's still too new. He won't trust it. Nothing is as reliable as good old 60w incandescents! Think of the heat savings he'll get from the radiant heat each glorious 60w bulb produces! That's got to save cost off his heating bill!

    Led throw too much light. Therefore they use more power.

    Call me old school. But I like the audible verification that old incandescent bulbs provide when you shake them after they are burnt out. Otherwise you might have an electrical problem and you have to start tracing wires, never going to know with LED.
